A letter of support for Mike LaSpina from member Sandra Peddie
When I vote in a union election, I’m voting to protect my interests – wages, seniority and buyouts, to name a few. I also am voting for someone who will defend me if and when there is an issue with management.
For that, I want someone who is experienced, savvy and honorable in dealing with his members. I want someone who is respected by management and who is not afraid to stand up for us.
That person is Mike LaSpina. He has demonstrated it time and time again. We don’t know all the times he has gone to bat for union members – even when that union member has done something hard to defend -- because he is enough of a professional to keep it confidential.
That’s why Mike has my vote for union president. Because I want to see my fellow union members survive and thrive, I hope he has yours, too.
